Synergistic Approach to Hockey Training
DME Hockey Academy was born from an idea to offer players a unique opportunity to develop their fundamental hockey skills so they may reach the pinnacle of their hockey potential. Our hockey academy instructional and mentorship programs are led by former NHL Stanley Cup Champion Eric Perrin.
Eric Perrin serves as the Development Coordinator and Head Instructor of DME’s Hockey Academy. Eric brings 22 years of professional playing experience to this role. Eric received a Division I scholarship from the University of Vermont where he received his Physical Education degree. Following Eric’s collegiate career, he went on to play in the most prestigious leagues in hockey including the NHL, AHL, KHL, NLA (Swiss Elite League) and Liiga (Finnish Elite League). Eric’s numerous achievements include being a Stanley Cup Champion (Tampa Bay Lightning), Liiga Champion and European Cup Champion.
To increase the longevity of his playing career, Eric developed a synergistic approach incorporating continued skills development, innovative training methods, proper nutrition as well as utilizing the latest in recovery techniques. He truly believes utilizing this approach fostered his ability to continually compete at the highest levels of the sport and stay relevant during his 22-year professional hockey career. Eric is now using this same synergistic approach to form the foundation of DME Hockey Academy.
Through DME’s Hockey Academy, Eric has taken his numerous years of playing experience, as well as his involvement with youth hockey in Finland, Canada, and USA Hockey to create an elite hockey training and development program. As a player, Eric approached the game of hockey with a quest for learning and desire to continually improve. As a leader both on the ice and in the locker room, Eric was known for his positive attitude and professionalism. He couples these qualities with his advanced knowledge of the game of hockey and his love for teaching to provide an unequalled opportunity for players to be trained and mentored by him in our Academy.
