    Adult Hockey League

    For Hockey Players Ages 18+

    Fall 2023 Season

    August 13th, 2023- December 10th, 2023
    Championship Sunday: December 10th, 2023
    The Daytona Ice Arena plays host to a co-ed Adult Hockey League for those players ages 18 and up. The fun, family friendly atmosphere welcomes those of all ages to come cheer on the players in Celly’s Sports Bar and enjoy food items from our Thaw Zone grill.

    **New Players to the Daytona Ice Arena Adult Hockey League Only**

    For all new players to the Adult Hockey League for the Spring 2023 season, we request that you attend an evaluation skate on Saturday, February 18, 2023. Please attend the evaluation skate for the division you think you will be placed in:

    Rookie Evaluation Skate: 2/18/23  5:00-6:00pm

    Intermediate/Advanced Eval Skate: 2/18/23  6:15-7:15pm

    Please register for the upcoming season in the division you feel you will be placed in prior to the evaluation skate. Adjustments to the division placement can be made at the discretion of the Hockey Director. For those skaters that attend the evaluation skate and are not registered for the Winter 2023 season, an $18 ice fee will be charged.

    ADVANCED DIVISION COMPETITIVE HOCKEY

    Former or current college, junior, or pro experience. The Advanced Division League is our highest level league with players having a high degree of hockey-playing skills; former and current pro, junior, or college experience.

    Teams are composed primarily of experienced adult players with intermediate skill levels. These players may have non-varsity college or varsity high school playing experience. Some players may also have a high school, competitive midget, or Junior B playing experience.

    1 playoff game
    Championship game for the top two teams in the division

      Learn to Play Hockey – Youth

      Daytona Ice Arena has a variety of Learn to Play Hockey programs for players of all ages!

      Learn to Play Hockey

      The Learn to Play initiative aims to be the gold standard for youth hockey programs with the goal of inspiring more families to join the hockey community. Learn to Play changes the way youth hockey is offered by providing first time participants, head-to-toe equipment, weekly sessions of age appropriate on-ice instruction and certified coaching, led by National Hockey League Alumni, in a fun and safe atmosphere.

      FREE head to toe hockey equipment as part of the Tampa Bay Learn to Play Hockey 8 week program! A $ 450.00 value !!! Next Sessions Starts March 26.

      Hockey 201

      Ages 6-13

      Players build upon the Hockey 101 class as they advance build upon the basic skills of ice skating as well as while being introduced to new ice hockey specific skating skills. Set in a fun and nurturing environment, this next step program provides all participants a comfort level to enjoy their growing experience with hockey, while developing the fundamental skills to succeed in the next program progression steps.

      2. Cross-overs
      3. Pivots
      4. Balance & Recovery

      Requirements:

      • Completions of Hockey 101.
      • Hockey Helmet or Bike Helmet

      Hockey 301

      Ages 6-13

      This class is for the player who is putting on hockey gear for the first time. Participants will build upon the individual skills learned in Hockey 201 and will begin to learn the game with a stick, puck and net. The focus of the program is to create a fun atmosphere for all players as they continue to enjoy the game of hockey while growing skill development.

      Fundamental Curriculum:

      1. Movement with the puck
      2. Passing the puck
      3. Shooting the puck
      4. Puck protection and creating turnovers

      Hockey 401

      Ages 6-13

      This class is for the player who has passed hockey 301 and is progressing their hockey development in full gear. Participants will build upon the individual skills learned in Hockey 301 and will continue to learn advanced techniques with a stick, puck and net. The focus of the program is to create a fun atmosphere for all participants as they continue to enjoy the game of hockey while advancing skill development.

      1. Deception
      2. Support
      3. Outnumbering and body contact
      4. Scoring

      The House League Fall/Winter 2023-24 sessions will run from August 23rd through March 2nd (U8-U12) or March 3rd (U14-U18). Each player has one practice/development session and one game per week (with the exception of certain days off due to holidays or arena events).
      There are two House League groups: U8/U10/U12s and U14/U16/U18s. Each group will have separate practice times and different game days.
      The U8/U10/U12 House League players will have their practice/development sessions on Wednesdays from 6-7pm and games will be on Saturdays from 10-11am.
      The U14/U16/U18 House League players will have their practice on Wednesdays from 7-8pm and games will be on Sundays from 8:15-9:15am.
      When there are Sunday time conflicts due to SFHL travel hockey games, the games will be played on Sundays from 7:45-8:45am. Always refer to the Master Facility Schedule on the arena website for the current schedule.
      Cost:
      $785 per player
      $400 per goalie

      House League

      House League Fall/Winter 2023-24

      Fall/Winter 2023-24 Session Dates:

      U8/U10/U12 - August 23, 2023 - March 2, 2024

      U14/U16/U18 - August 23, 2023 - March 3, 2024

      The House League is dedicated to cultivating and developing players in the sport of Ice Hockey.       The House League Spring 2023 session will run from the first week of April through the third week of May 2023. The House League Spring session will allow for those players enrolled in the Fall/Winter House League session to continue their hockey skills development, while providing new participants a chance to begin their hockey development journey. Each player has one practice/development session and one game per week (there will not be a scrimmage the final week of the Spring session.)

      There are two House League groups: U8/U10/U12s and U14/U16/U18s. Each group will have separate practice times and different game days.

      The U8/U10/U12 House League players will have their practice/development sessions on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00pm and games will be on Saturdays from 10:00-11:00am.

      The U14/U16/U18 House League players will have their practice on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:00pm and games will be on Sundays from 8:15- 9:15am.

      Adult Learn to Play Hockey

      ADULT LEARN TO PLAY HOCKEY

      Old Dogs New Sticks is for the adult who has never ever played hockey before or is returning from an extended absence. The program is co-ed, non-checking, for people over 18 years of age and is set in an insanely positive, judgment free atmosphere. No ice skating or hockey experience is required in order to participate.

      Old Dogs New Sticks Fall 2023

      There are eight (8) Old Dogs New Sticks classes for the Fall 2023 session.

      We also currently offer an Old Dogs Drop In rate for $25 per session.

      Old Dogs, New Sticks Schedule

      DIA Hockey Clinics & Camps

      Daytona Ice Arena Clinics and camps are scheduled throughout the year to help skaters improve their hockey skills. From beginners to competitive levels, our seasoned coaches will challenge and push you to new levels in an atmosphere of fun and encouragement.

      2023 ERIC PERRIN'S HIGH ENERGY HOCKEY CAMP | July 24th - 28th, 2023

      Coach Eric designed his hockey camp with the idea that it is never too early for a player to develop a professional mentality towards their hockey training. The full day hockey camp includes 2 daily sessions of intense on-ice training, integrated with dryland fitness and agility drills, balanced with recovery and nutritional segments. The camp program will keep the players active and engaged for the entire day and elevate their conditioning level in preparation for the upcoming season. The camp is for travel level players. In order to ensure a small coach-to-player ratio, the number of registrations will be limited in each group.

      Cost: $550 players / $250 goalies
      A deposit of $250 is required to register and final payment is due by the
      start of camp.

      EP Elite Hockey Training Camp 2023

      Perrin Elite Training Camp
      July 31 - August 4, 2023

      For Players U16AA level and higher

      Eric Perrin bring 22 years of professional playing experience in the most prestigious leagues in hockey including the NHL, AHL, KHL, NLA (Swiss Elite League) and Liiga (Finnish Elite League). His numerous achievements include being a Stanley Cup Champion (Tampa Bay Lightning), Liiga Champion and European Cup Champion. Eric received a Division I scholarship to compete for the from the University of Vermont where he also received a Physical Education degree. As a leader both on the ice and in the locker room, Eric was known for his positive attitude and professionalism. Eric couples these qualities with his advanced knowledge of the game of hockey and his love for teaching to provide an unequaled opportunity for players to be trained and mentored by him.

      The Perrin Elite Camp is by invitation only to those players who are ready to take the next big step in their youth Hockey career. The 5 full day camp will consist of a synergistic approach to player training that incorporates continued skills development, innovative training methods, proper nutrition as well as utilizing the latest in recovery techniques. Players will also learn about the importance of being a good teammate and coachable player.

      Skate & Shoot

      Skate & Shoot are hockey development sessions where players are given the opportunity to work on their skills. Sessions are open to players of all ages and take place year- round.

       January - March 2021

      Youth Skate & Shoot - Monday 5:30-6:30pm and Wednesday 4:30-5:30pm

      Adult Skate & Shoot - Thursday 4:45-5:45pm

      Requirements:

      • Players 18 and younger must wear full hockey equipment.
      • Players 18 and older are required to wear helmet, gloves and skates.
      • Only DIA instructors are permitted to conduct lessons.

      Adult Drop-in Hockey

      Our Adult Drop-In program allows you to casually test and improve your skills with other players with exciting pick-up games or just practice drills.

      Adult pick-up offers a stick time session exclusively for adults.
      Participants can use this time as an opportunity to work on skill development, or play a friendly game of pick-up.

      Rookie Drop-in Hockey

      Beginner or Rookie Level Hockey Players ONLY

      All ages 18 yrs and older

      Our Rookie Drop-In Hockey games are exclusively for beginner hockey players or those who are looking to have a pick up game with other players of the same skill set. Rookie Drop-In Hockey games provide a place for beginner and Rookie level players to work on their individual skills and game play in a slower paced and non judgemental environment.

      • Full hockey equipment is required.

      Cost: $15 for members or $18 for non-members

      Private Hockey Lessons

      Private Hockey Lessons are the best way to improve your skills quickly. Our talented coaches and trainers understand the methods necessary to hone skills from players of any level. If you want to be the best player you can be, consider private hockey lessons.

      Our professional coaching staff will lead a skill specific clinic each week. Each clinic will focus on the proper techniques of each skill and developing each player with proven methods of training. These clinics are fun and are for all levels of players!
