Figure Skating Lessons

Lessons are a great option for skaters ready to switch from public skating to freestyle and for advanced skaters ready to enjoy freestyle with or without lessons.

Figure skating lessons are available year-round, 6 days a week. We can customize a program to fit your skill level, strengths and areas that need improvement.

Our figure skating teachers and coaches are in compliance with US Figure Skating and PSA rules and regulations. For the safety and ensured protection of our clients, each coach meets the required continuing education requirements (CER’S), proper insurance coverage and annual background screenings.

Lessons are scheduled in 10 minute increments and range from $45.00 to $70.00 per hour based on selected staff coach

Note: Only Daytona Ice Arena coaches are permitted to conduct lessons.

Daytona Ice Arena Clinics and Camps are scheduled throughout the year to help skaters improve their figure skating skills. From beginners to competitive levels, our seasoned coaches will challenge and push you to new levels in an atmosphere of fun and encouragement.

Open Freestyle

Freestyle time provides you an opportunity to practice and improve your skating skills and develop your routines on a regular basis. You may practice solo or with one of our DIA coaches.

Daytona Ice Arena offers multiple open freestyle ice sessions every week, all year round.

Open to all figure skaters and coaches, this ice provides an opportunity to practice skating skills, run through programs or schedule private lessons at numerous times each week.

Drop In Rate: $18.00
($15.00 for Daytona Beach Figure Skating Club Members)

*Every coach must have their coaching insurance on file with Daytona Ice Arena. At the beginning of every open freestyle session, each skater will sign in and pay for Freestyle and/or Private Lesson at the front desk prior to going on the ice. If you are a visiting coach, please bring a copy of your insurance with you or email it to our Skating Director Debbie Stephens-Odgers.

DIA Hockey Clinics & Camps

Daytona Ice Arena Clinics and camps are scheduled throughout the year to help skaters improve their hockey skills. From beginners to competitive levels, our seasoned coaches will challenge and push you to new levels in an atmosphere of fun and encouragement.

2023 ERIC PERRIN'S HIGH ENERGY HOCKEY CAMP | July 24th - 28th, 2023

Coach Eric designed his hockey camp with the idea that it is never too early for a player to develop a professional mentality towards their hockey training. The full day hockey camp includes 2 daily sessions of intense on-ice training, integrated with dryland fitness and agility drills, balanced with recovery and nutritional segments. The camp program will keep the players active and engaged for the entire day and elevate their conditioning level in preparation for the upcoming season. The camp is for travel level players. In order to ensure a small coach-to-player ratio, the number of registrations will be limited in each group.

Cost: $550 players / $250 goalies
A deposit of $250 is required to register and final payment is due by the
start of camp.

EP Elite Hockey Training Camp 2023

Perrin Elite Training Camp
July 31 - August 4, 2023

For Players U16AA level and higher

Eric Perrin bring 22 years of professional playing experience in the most prestigious leagues in hockey including the NHL, AHL, KHL, NLA (Swiss Elite League) and Liiga (Finnish Elite League). His numerous achievements include being a Stanley Cup Champion (Tampa Bay Lightning), Liiga Champion and European Cup Champion. Eric received a Division I scholarship to compete for the from the University of Vermont where he also received a Physical Education degree. As a leader both on the ice and in the locker room, Eric was known for his positive attitude and professionalism. Eric couples these qualities with his advanced knowledge of the game of hockey and his love for teaching to provide an unequaled opportunity for players to be trained and mentored by him.

The Perrin Elite Camp is by invitation only to those players who are ready to take the next big step in their youth Hockey career. The 5 full day camp will consist of a synergistic approach to player training that incorporates continued skills development, innovative training methods, proper nutrition as well as utilizing the latest in recovery techniques. Players will also learn about the importance of being a good teammate and coachable player.
